As I sit chewing by Tasneem S. Pocketwala

As I sit chewing

The inky end

Of my pen,

Your

Anguish –

Disguised

In the prolonged

Car horn

(A one note persistent song –

Much too long),

Races up my stairs,

Blazes,

Ripples at my wall,

A bit

Trickles through the window –

Touches me.

It is exhausted and meek.
