we paint together
two boats:
trembling brushstrokes,
something for each other.
we paint love
in silence
in gifts
freeze
when I drip,
dew upon your lips.
freeze
when you ripple
underneath my skin
tingle
where the songs
begin
we trickle,
our burst blood,
our mingling colors.
we paint together-
two boats:
one each for the other
to stay afloat upon
our canvas soaked in an ocean
swelling with hours.
